As part of our desire to make a difference in the lives of our communities, Charles White Ltd have partnered with Bethany Christian Trust to help run a coffee morning for elderly residents in a local sheltered housing complex.
Our aim is to enhance the lives of others by tackling loneliness and isolation within our community.
It has been our pleasure to visit the residents fortnightly; serving coffee, building friendships, playing games, listening to music and eating lots of treats together. At first, the group of residents were very quiet and reserved, but our team persisted to engage with residents encouraging them to share their likes, dislikes, stories of the past and what they would like to do in the future.
Four months later, the group is growing in numbers and noise with chatter and laughter between the Charles White team and the residents. Long may these friendships continue to grow.
